Author Guidelines

Sections

Divide the article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.2, and so forth. The abstract is not included in section numbering. Use the same numbering for internal cross-references. Each section and subsection should have a brief heading placed on a separate line.

Introduction

State the objectives of the study and provide sufficient background. Avoid an excessively detailed literature review or a summary of the research results.

Materials and Methods

Provide sufficient methodological detail to allow the study to be reproduced by an independent researcher. Previously published methods should be summarized and appropriately cited. Any modifications to existing methods must be clearly explained.

Theory or Calculation

A Theory section should extend the scientific foundation introduced in the Introduction without repeating it. A Calculation section should present the practical development or application of the theoretical basis.

Results

Results should be presented clearly, accurately, and concisely.

Discussion

The Discussion should explain the significance and implications of the findings rather than merely repeat the results. A combined Results and Discussion section is permitted when appropriate.

Conclusions

The principal conclusions of the study should be presented briefly. The Conclusions section may stand alone or form a subsection of the Discussion or Results and Discussion section.

Appendices

Multiple appendices should be identified as Appendix A, Appendix B, and so forth. Equations, tables, and figures in appendices must use separate numbering, such as Eq. (A.1), Table A.1, and Fig. A.1.

• Title. The title must be concise and informative. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations and formulae.
• Author names and affiliations. Clearly state the given name and family name of each author. Affiliations must include the institution, full address, and country. Use lowercase superscript letters to connect authors with their affiliations.
• Corresponding author. Clearly identify the author responsible for communication during submission, review, publication, and post-publication stages. Provide an active email address and current contact information.
• Present or permanent address. A present or permanent address may be included as a footnote when an author has moved after completing the research. The original research affiliation must remain listed as the main affiliation.

Highlights are optional but highly encouraged because they improve article visibility and discoverability through search engines.

• Include 3–5 bullet points.
• Each bullet should contain no more than 50 characters, including spaces.
• Highlight the novelty, principal findings, or new methods.
• Submit highlights as a separate editable file.
• Include the word “Highlights” in the file name.

Abstract

The abstract must be concise, factual, and no longer than 250 words. It should briefly state the research purpose, principal methods, key results, and major conclusions. References should be avoided. Non-standard abbreviations must be defined at first use.

Keywords

Authors may provide a maximum of six keywords relevant to the article.

Abbreviations

Define non-standard abbreviations at their first appearance and ensure consistent use throughout the manuscript.

A graphical abstract is optional but encouraged. It should summarize the article visually in a concise and attractive format.

• Submit it as a separate file through the online submission system.
• Minimum image size: 531 × 1328 pixels, height × width.
• The image should remain readable at approximately 5 × 13 cm.
• Preferred formats: TIFF, EPS, PDF, or Microsoft Office files.

Place acknowledgements in a separate section before the References. Acknowledge individuals or institutions that provided research, technical, language, writing, editing, or proofreading assistance. Do not place acknowledgements on the title page or in a footnote.

Nomenclature and Units

Use internationally accepted conventions and the International System of Units (SI). When other units are used, provide their SI equivalents. A nomenclature table may be placed on the second page of the manuscript.

Mathematical Formulae

Submit equations as editable text rather than images. Use inline formulae where possible, italicize variables, and number displayed equations consecutively when they are cited in the text.

Footnotes should be used sparingly and numbered consecutively using superscript Arabic numerals. Do not include footnotes in the reference list.

Table footnotes should be placed below the table and identified using superscript lowercase letters.

General Requirements

• Use uniform lettering and sizing.
• Embed fonts whenever possible.
• Use Arial, Courier, Times New Roman, Symbol, or similar fonts.
• Number illustrations according to their order in the manuscript.
• Use logical and consistent file names.
• Submit captions separately.
• Submit each illustration as a separate file.
• Ensure that colors are accessible to readers with impaired color vision.

File Formats and Resolution

• Microsoft Office artwork should be submitted in its native format.
• EPS or PDF: vector drawings with embedded fonts.
• TIFF or JPEG photographs: minimum 300 dpi.
• Black-and-white line drawings: minimum 1000 dpi.
• Combined line and halftone artwork: minimum 500 dpi.
• Do not submit low-resolution or screen-optimized formats such as GIF or BMP.

Figure Captions

Each illustration must have a caption consisting of a brief title and an explanatory description. Captions should be supplied separately and should define all symbols and abbreviations.

Tables

Number tables consecutively according to their appearance in the text. Place footnotes below the table body, avoid vertical lines, and ensure that data in tables do not unnecessarily duplicate information described in the text.

Citation Requirements

Every reference cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and every item in the reference list must be cited in the manuscript. References included in the abstract must be presented in full.

Minimum and Recency Requirements

• Each article should contain at least 10 references.
• Priority should be given to primary sources from scientific journals.
• Most references should have been published within the last five years.

Reference Style

Citations and references must use the IEEE numbered reference style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley.

Web, Dataset, Software, and Preprint References

• Web references should include a complete URL and access date.
• Dataset references should include authors, title, repository, version, year, and persistent identifier.
• Add [dataset] before dataset references.
• Software references should include the software name, version, repository, and DOI when available.
• Preprints must be clearly identified and include their DOI or server information.
